Solid Oxide Fuel Cells

Solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) are a clean, pollution-free technology for electrochemically generating electricity at high efficiencies. Directed Vapor Technologies is partnering with ITN Energy Systems to develop a hand-held a solid oxide fuel cell for U.S. military applications. It will be designed to deliver 20 watts of 12 volt DC power continuously for 3 days. Directed vapor deposition will be used to produce thin and thick film components for the fuel cells. http://www.itnes.com/pages/news.html
